Participant Meeting
Parade position numbers will be distributed at this meeting. It is imperative that at least one member of each group/unit that will be performing in the parade attend this meeting. There have been changes made in the parade rules and regulations due to time constraints and safety considerations that will be important to all participants.


Volunteer Meeting
Please join us to discuss roles, responsibilities and safety considerations.  We will also discuss the timeline for the parade and answer any questions.

Merry Old Town:  Christmas Tree Lighting
5:00 p.m. –  8:00 p.m.
9431 West Street   Manassas, VA 20110
Santa arrives at the Train Depot to light the Christmas tree on the lawn of the Manassas Museum around 6:00 p.m. Attracting over 5,000 people, the evening’s sights and sounds include live entertainment, carolers, ice skating, wagon rides, and the long awaited chance for children to visit with Santa.

Merry Old Town:  72nd Annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade
10:00 a.m.
The Greater Manassas Christmas Parade has the distinction of being the largest holiday parade in Northern Virginia attracting  over a variety of spectators. The parade consists of over 100 marching units, numerous floats, high-flying balloons, several dancing groups and over 2,000 participants.  Stay tuned for the theme!

Historic Downtown Manassas
Downtown Manassas is all dressed up for the Holidays and our merchants invite you to come, partake in holiday nibbles, sip some wine or mulled cider and enjoy the warmth and hospitality that abounds.  What you will discover is shops filled with unique items, helpful elves to make your holiday purchases a delight to give.  You just might want to keep some for yourself!

Hop in a carriage and tour the historic streets of Historic Downtown Manassas! Take in the sights and sounds of the season! Carriage rides will leave from the Train Depot and take you around Historic Downtown(weather permitting).
