What is the timeline of Santa Lights Manassas?   
3:00 p.m.  Portions of Prince William, West, and Battle Streets begin to close (see map)
5:15 p.m.  Entertainment begins on West Street and Museum Lawn Stage
6:15 p.m.  Santa arrives on the VRE train at the Manassas Depot
6:35 p.m.  The tree lighting ceremony begins
6:45 p.m.  Santa heads to his gazebo to greet children

 

What is there to do at Santa Lights Manassas?
There are a variety of things to take advantage of during this event:
Explore the Manassas Museum and their store, Echoes

A variety of entertainment throughout the evening
Free wagon rides after the tree is lit
Sitting on Santa’s lap in the gazebo
Ice skating available at Harris Pavillion ($)
Local shops to visit
Local restaurants to dine in

 

Where is the best place to view Santa getting off the train and heading to the Manassas Museum lawn?
Anywhere on the south side of West Street next to the train station and along Prince William Street.

 

How long does Santa visit with children in the gazebo?
Santa stays until the last child has sat on his lap.

 

What time are the wagon rides over?
The wagon rides continue until the last group of families have taken a ride. 

 

What time does the Manassas Museum and their store, Echoes, close?
8pm

 

What time does the ice skating rink close?
10 p.m.

 

What streets are going to be closed for Santa Lights Manassas and when do they start to close?
West Street from Center Street to Prince William Street at 3:00 p.m.
Prince William Street from West Street to Main Street at 3:00 p.m.
Battle Street from Center Street to Prince William Street at 3:00 p.m.

 

Is there handicap parking available?
Yes, at the Manassas Depot Lot.  You can view the lot on the map:  Santa Lights Manassas Route Map

 

Where do I park?
Along the side streets in Historic Downtown or in the parking garage located off Prince William Street.  You can access the garage from the intersection of Main Street and Prince William Street.
 
Where are the restrooms located?
They are located at the Manassas Depot, the Harris Pavillion and the Manassas Museum.

 

What if it rains or snows?
In the event of inclement weather, Santa Lights Manassas will continue as scheduled.  There is no postponement or rescheduling of the event.

 

Do you have a lost and found?
Yes, at the Visitor Center located at the Manassas Depot.
